Based on physical dimensions, the iPhone 13 mini is one of the smallest recent models, with a height of 131.5mm. While the iPhone SE has a slightly larger physical height (138.4mm), the mini offers the smallest overall footprint for a modern, full-screen iPhone.
The Pro Max and Plus models often share nearly identical or very similar physical dimensions (Height and Width), as they both feature the large 6.7-inch or 6.9-inch display size. However, Pro models, such as the iPhone 15 Pro Max, are typically slightly thicker due to larger camera modules and internal components, which also makes them heavier.
The smallest iPhone in the 2025 lineup (iPhone 17 series) is the base iPhone 17. It measures 149.6mm tall, slightly larger than previous standard models due to the increased screen size from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches.
The largest iPhone in the 2025 lineup is the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It measures approximately 163.4mm high and 78.0mm wide, maintaining the top-tier 6.9-inch display size.
The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are the thickest models, both reaching 8.75mm in thickness. This increased depth is often attributed to major camera upgrades and larger battery capacity in Pro models.
The thinnest model is the iPhone 17 Air at just 5.6mm, designed to be ultra-slim. Among earlier models, the iPhone 12 and 13 Pro Max models were notably thin at 7.4mm.

The standard iPhone 17 is slightly larger than the iPhone 16. The iPhone 17 is approximately 2.0mm taller and 0.15mm thicker than the iPhone 16. Both models feature the new 6.3-inch screen size (up from the traditional 6.1-inch display of the 14 and 15 generations).
